Will I receive any money
10 Answers
Hi
I'm probably in the wrong section but here goes.
I am currently claiming for lost wages, redundancy & lieu of notice from government (I think) as my work place went into administration but I have been advised by a friend that if I get a job before I receive any monies I won't get anything?! Could anyone validate this please?
Many Thanks

The company I was working for went into administration, but was bought by someone else. We were all taken on doing the same jobs for the new company, but we also got what the old company owed us in wages from the government. We had no break from losing jobs with the old company and starting with the new one, so I don't see why you wouldn't get what's owed to you.
Hope that makes sense!!!

"There are some circumstances in which you can lose your right to statutory redundancy pay. Some examples of these circumstances include:
•if you want to leave before the date your employment is due to end, for example, if you've found another job. However, you may still be able to keep your redundancy pay as long as you follow certain procedures."
