Army/RAF/Navy reservists
11 Answers
I am trying to find out how many army/RAF/navy reservists are employed in their full time job as Essex police constables. Essex police say they do not hold this information. Does the MOD keep records of employers. They have to compensate them for tours of duty.

It must therefore be either unpaid or TA reimburses the employer. There must be some mechanism for recording it somewhere in the system. I'm sure they dont just disappear for two weeks a year (or six months when they are on tour. I think I might try a freedom of information request with Essex Police and the MOD.
I think it depends on employer boxy (you may know that mine is more sympathetic to such activities). It's not just reservists either, P/T fireman, councillors, scout officials etc all benefit. But we digress, this doesn't answer OP question and if he has such a desire to know then an FOI request to Essex Police may be his route.
