Facilities Co-ordinator: What does one do?

I would like maybe 1/2 a dozen or so specific examples of tasks such a person would do; especially from anyone who is one, or has knowledge of a 'Facilities Co-ordinator'.

The information I currently have is a bit vague: 'a 'hands-on' role in efficiently completing a wide range of requests, fixing everything and anything' mostly in an office environment but possibly including warehouse / shop environment.  However, I think it's more large private offices rather than a factory or public buildings.

I am interested in nitty-gritty specific details, not generalisations.

It depends on the size of the offices. Facilities is the buzzy modern word for the office support services, so that includes catering, cleaning, security (sometimes), waste disposal, buildings maintenance etc. Many organisations now outsource this service to another organisation, then run a Help Desk that co-ordinates the requests fromn the users of the offices to put things right. The Facilities Co-ordinator is the person that runs the Help Desk, taking calls (usually), logging the issues and organising the support staff to get round a put things right.  The complexity of the job is gonna depend on the size of the offices.
