I can help with the payment side. Most Companies invoice at the end of the contract and expect to be given 30 days from the end of the month. Most orders are taken in the first week of each month for this reason. However when I was doing the money chasing, it was more like 60 days. Can I suggest when chasing money you phone ( time allowing) Letters are chucked. Give you customer a credit and time limit and stick to it. The Director of a company I worked for kept giving in to our biggest account as he didnt want to bite the hands that feed and we went bust. For each new customer make them sign an account apllication form with the terms and conditions on reverse ( A Solicitor can provide these) and please note, trading terms only apply to England and Wales. Good luck
