Does anybody know how to get a job proof reading?

I used to do this, but got into it via an author. The best way is to get The Artists' and Writers' Yearbook, and write to the agencies in it. They will usually keep a CV on file if they don't have anything available. Your library should carry the Yearbook.

There are also proofreading jobs advertised in the small ads sometimes, so check the papers.

You will need excellent english skills!
