What you want. As long as they're flat, and fully covered (no peep toes etc). Think black school shoes :-)
you buy what you want....but they will need to be comfortable as you will be on your feet all day. do not scrimp....go somewhere like clarks or get hush puppies (my preferred footwear) off the net. i also wear supportive (black) trainers if my feet are really bad. see here:

all the professionals at my local hospital seem to either wear trainers or crocs
if you are going to be on your feet all day then do not get totally flat as the back of your knees will ache after the first day and you will end up putting strain on your ankles.
i also have a pair of these:

These are goo d for all day wear.... http://www.hewats.com/prod.php?sec=44&pid=326
Did you manage to sort out your hours/child care issues then - well done and good luck with it all.

sherrard i did sort it. My last working day in my current post in 25/10/12, and i have 15 hours, and 1 hour a week temporary until a member of staff hands her notice in. she has a new job, just awaiting paperwork. breakfast club is 3.50 each child, but child care credits will help me with this. I am well chuffed that i will get to do this job. I need shoes that cover my entire foot, in case i drop a needle? they have to flatish, and i always wear heels so this will be another challenge for me.

Thank you for asking sherrard, and thanks everyone for the links, i will go for hush puppies/clarks as i want comfort, and my legs hurt when i wear flat shoes, so will get a small incline type
When I was working (on my feet all day, though have never been happy in any sort of heels) I wore DM's but they take some breaking in. Congratulations on getting everything sorted out and hope the job is all that you hope, x
Clinical personnel shouldn't wear Crocs (although many did at one time), there is a risk of dropping sharps or body fluids through the holes in the tops of the shoes.....

You have to pay for them yourself, but what they may not tell you is that you can claim £12 of the cost of them to offset against your income tax. http://www.hmrc.gov.u...eimanual/EIM67200.htm
hiya, not all crocs have holes in
They do not supply them; you will have to buy them yourself. I would think that nursing shoes would be good enough for this role.
Good luck with the job phleb love the profile name that goes with the job.
I don't make pizza's but do enjoy them lol
When do you start?
Here are some options for Crocs, maybe their suitability will depend on your local rules.
