Hi Simmy. If you mentioned what subject matter you have and will study this would help. The UK is very open to immigration so you are in luck. All you have to do is find a job and you can apply fior a work visa. Dont worry about what kind of job it will be. Even if it is working in a clothes shop this will do. Then when you have a work visa you can start looking for a job that suits your education more. It is very easy to stay in the UK so I wouldn't worry.

It's in the post, Honeydip!

Simmy:
While you might find it possible to remain in the UK (because you've studied here), it's unlikely that any other EU country would let you work there.

The area around Durham has some of the highest unemployment rates in the UK, so you'd probably need to look elsewhere for work.

'Ground level' jobs in human resources do seem to be advertised quite often. However you'd need to check the strict immigration rules which apply to non-EU citizens, to see if you qualify to work here:

Membership of the CIPD might help:

Or you could use your hard-won education to enrich the country of your birth. It seems to me that if the medically trained people returned toIndia the health system might improve there.
