My question is - does anyone know how to find out about possible vacancies within the electronics field - in the US ?
Everytime I try to get onto the American Google site - my computer just throws me back to the .co.uk site !
Thanx !

If you are English and live in the UK it will be very difficult (if not impossible) for you to get a job in the US.
Not impossible but bloody difficult - unless you have a very specialist niche that you can offer. You may be best to join a US company here and get them to sponsor you in - even then it will be tied to working for them unless you have grounds for a US green card (which takes about 3 years and nearly $3000 to secure).
5 of my old colleagues worked in the US for 3 years in the electronics field on temporary visas. At the end of that time only 2 were given green cards and they had both married Americans..............

Oh, sorry - perhaps I should have said, my daughter has been out there for the last six & half years - & has just got her citizenship. She can apply for my "green card" under the rules for close relatives to come over. Which is, by all accounts a fairly easy process - which takes around 6 - 8 months.
I just need to find out where to be able to look for employment out there (ie: job centre type places or employment agencies)
How well skilled and senior are you?

Find an international employment agency, or google "employment agency us electronics" - quite a lot comes up
