Quitting My Job

I am 8 weeks into a job where there is a 3 month trial period. I absolutely HATE it. Can I leave with immediate effect? TIA

'Reed' seems to be the one that most corporate employers use to recruit. A lot of jobs are only advertised on the actual company website, so if there is a company you want to work for, go straight to the vacancies section on their own web pages.
If you are struggling, sign up for temp work for a bit to get some pennies in - Temporary jobs often lead to the employers liking you and asking you to stay on permanently.
I wish you all the luck in the world, it is really scary leaving a job that you hate, but congratulations you did it! Life really is far too short to be so stressed out :-)

The DWP are really, really strict about you 'actively' seeking employment.

Yes, you can but 8 weeks it's not a lot. Maybe take your time and try to treat this job as something you can learn from. When you feel you learnt something then try to find something else.

Hi Pea, nothing yet so I'm keeping busy doing the decorating that I didn't have the time or energy to do when I was working!

Hi CM, good to hear you are keeping busy - That's exactly what I did in-between job hunting/ applying etc - the dreaded decorating!
I hope your stress levels have gone down since leaving, but I know it can be a worrying time too, but keep applying and applying - everything happens for a reason and I sincerely hope a great job pops up when you least expect it. All the very best x
