1st paragraph all the way up to c2 : what is the squares in this sentence? I put question marks in my confusions. the two 'paragraphs' or 'whatever' I boxed are both messed up, like its both confusing when I read them one 'whatever' by one 'whatever'. I doubt anyone will understand this question.
IS English your first language, jpv?
If you meant to include a link, there isn't one.
Sorry, I have read this again and still haven't a clue what you are asking.
Are you able to re-word your question for us? If so, you can do this by replying to your own question
I have just realised that this is a question that has bee posted on numerous sites but your question was cut short on here because for some reason the use of a "" leads to all subsequent text not appearing.

(PICTURE ATTACHED TO THE PASSAGE) only this part (the "in the square") is confusing. https://www.flickr.com/photos/126413645@N06/14519220947/

and the last one is hard to visualize and understand. If you could explain a simple process I will give you 5 stars. I promise. No lie.

Even my LESS THAN sign didn't appear
Okay, I can see the pictures, although the images are not very clear.
The pages seem to be covering GCSE Maths topics of angle rules relating to angles on a line, at a point and in similar triangles, as well as aproof of Pythagoras' theorem.

But I don't understand your questions. What do the 3 'whatever' references mean, for example.

Can you set each query out separately and indicate which diagram/page you are referring to, please.
Well done, factor. You are so patient. I hope you get a response.
FF - you really are going for the Gold star on the Fridge innit.

This is basically stuff on Euclid's postulates and the interesting one (V).
and it may be proving the angle sum is 180.
which I dont think is very well done in Sciencia
Yeah I have had another look: if you omit Thales Th ( which I never did anyway ) and Squaring the rectangle - then the only thing left is proving the angle sum of a thriangle is 180.... over to you
Thanks, Tilly.

jpv05. Regarding "'four triangles can also be arranged in this large square to leave a central space", I suggest you draw it out, then cut out the larger square, the smaller square and the two triangles shapes and piece them together in the two ways shown, including as in the third diagram which has one large shaded central square (which has been rotated by 30-60 degrees- I can't remember which as I've closed the images)
Proving the angle sum of a triangle is 180 degrees is straightforward, although these proofs always rely on using some other known facts which you don't have to prove- in this case angles on a straight line add up to 180, and alternate angles (where parallel lines are involved) are equal.
eg http://www.mathsisfun.com/proof180deg.html
PP- the first 2 pages are about angles in triangles but pages 3-6 are all aboyt Pythagoras' theorem
jpv- I think this explains the Pythagoras bit more clearly as it uses colour

oops sorry

isnt the idea there you can re arrange the two squares into one large hippopotamus sized square ?

we always did an algebraic proof - which er isnt geometry I agree, but does illustrate that the first reported proof may not be the most comprehensible to starters
When we wz at skool wasn't it something to do with squaws and a hippopotamus?
I think jpvo5 may have forgotten he asked this here a she hasn't logged in since he asked on Monday. If you are looking in, jpv, let us know if you have resolved your queries now
I'm impressed anyway, factor:-)
Last call for jpv05. I notice you haven't logged back in since you asked this. Is it sorted now?
