Hi all,

I have a very important meeting with a director of an organisation on Friday regarding a new job. I want really want to make a good impression but at the moment I been asked to come in for an 'informal chat', however I cant think what is the best thing to wear! The place is informal, however this person is the director and chair of the board so I have to impress but I don't want to appear im dressed for interview when its not there yet. Job spec etc is yet to be finalised etc. If I was working there it would be a dress, leather boots and scarf so pretty relaxed.

Any suggestions would be great. Thank you

I think dress, boots and scarf sounds fine, watch things like depth of neckline, length of skirt and so on and make sure the boots are immaculately clean.
Black skirt, white shirt, black cardigan or jacket
Doc Marten's?
Dark trousers, comfy loose top, scarf for contrast, boots or smart mid heeled shoes and matching handbag.
Handbag?
Do you not know what a handbag is? :-)
Not part of my ensemble
It would depend if I'd need to carry things with me.
Pockets are useful and less likely to be misplaced
When all else fails a shoulder bag is the answer
Not all outfits have pockets.

Handbag/shoulderbag....kinda means the same thing.
No
Don't know what you're saying no to....

Anyway, I agree with Brenda.
I think what Soph01 said about dress, boots and scarf sounds good. Not too "interviewy", but smart and relaxed.
Sorry, Atalanta, but I think the black skirt, white shirt combo makes women look like waitresses, and it's quite dull.
I'd agree. Go in what you would wear to work were you to be offered the job.
