Hi there,

I've worked in the print industry for a while now and I have recently started my own print and design business which is doing rather well, however from experience I know I can make a lot more by getting my own machinery (currently resell other peoples printing) and getting a premises.

I would like to know how much I should expect to need to start up my business, I plan to lease a shop around the 11000 a year mark and I will need to buy an a3 full colour printer/copier (something like a Xerox Colourcentre 50) I am willing to lease this for a few years if required. The other costs are either fixed or I already know them so if anyone has any experience of what my initial outlay for the printer and premises will be that they will be willing to share I would appreciate it.

If this helps, you may already know that Kall Kwik is a franchise.  It might be an idea just to ring one up, or write them a letter asking them.  As one "small" business person to another, I'd hope they'd be happy to help.  Of course probably best not to ring the franchise in your local town!! :-)  Good luck!
