We say 'congratulations' - plural :)
I think they will understand it. If it were me I would just say
"Hello; hope you are all well. My family and I were delighted to hear about the birrth of your brother's daughter. Many congratulation to you all."
Just minor changes to your own words.

Hello, how are you, how is everyone there? My family and I are very happy to hear about your brother's daughter. Many congratulations to you and your family.
Ha- I copied and edited and missed the congratulation(s)
Hello, how are you? How is everyone there? My family and I are very happy to hear about the birth of your brother's daughter. Many congratulations to you and your family.
I would say "my family and I" although the grammar pedants would soon start howling if I did !

But, as Geevo says, make "congratulation" into a plural, and you won't go far wrong.
Hello, How are you? How is everyone there? My Family and I are very happy to hear about your the birth of your brother's daughter. Many congratulations to you and your family.

(I assume it is the brother who has had a daughter and not the brother's daughter who has had a daughter.)
ff, you have also spelt 'birth' incorrectly

"Hello, how are you? How is everyone there? My family and I are very happy to hear about the birth of your brother's daughter. Many congratulations to you and your family."
I would hope that they would accept your congratulations in the spirit you offered them.
Absolutely Vetuste but Fatema has been trying to improve her English and grammar.
Mikey everyone has said "my family and I". What do you mean?
I think the "there" is superfluous. You would hardly be asking about people elsewhere.
Ladybirder....then I got it right then !
Yep. I don't get why you thought you would attract the "grammar pedants".
You're right, mikey. Just extend the sentence i.e. 'My family is very happy etc.' and 'I am very happy etc.'. It is then easy to see how to contract it. :0)
'Birrth' is what they say north of the Border...
I'd have said. Bout ya ,all rightly ,us all ear right well pleased to hear bout your bruvs wean .Heres to ya all .
//'Birrth' is what they say north of the Border..//
or south of the border when it's cold.
I'd use this for advice to them....
