Making big placements and getting loads of temps out.
Disadvantages:can get quite boring and monotous, telesales calls to companies who will not want to talk to you, interviewing candidates who clearly hate agencies and mistrust you, unrealistic targets and the threat of being sacked if not meeting them. Having to be polite to unreliable temps. Being on call so you may get calls at 2am asking if you have any drivers available. Lots of pointless administration.not in anyway a HR job - it is essentially a sales role.
Having said that I have really enjoyed my two and a half years in recruitment and would recommend it as a good career choice.( I am currently working my notice to go and work as an office manager).
