My employer has hinted about changing from a single shift of work to 3 shift . I’m not worried about the change but how quickly it might happen. As far as I can see there nothing written in my contract . What would he have to do and change and length of time to implement a 3 shift .
Thanks

If you are OK with the change you need to discuss with your employer the period of notice he will give. I find it strange that your contract doesn't specify hours/days of work, surely that's one of the main things it should contain. Sounds like you need to have prepared & agree to a new contract.
The period of notice will be no more than the period of notice they have to give to terminate a contract. The only difference might be if the changes affect sufficiently large numbers to require a consultation period first
