Allergen Exam

Never thought I was so thick lol. I do catering work at a national trust property normally, since I retired. I work 4 hours a week only as a volunteer. I am a trained chef. I have had to do 3 courses to return to work there. The food course I am used to. The return to work after covid was a new one of course, but the allergen course I am finding hard. I know much about this subject but I am only getting t 80/100 in the test. They are making things so hard these days to volunteer at the national trust. I fear alot of older people will give up. The trust will not survive without volunteers. What do you think ?

Gosh, how insulting can some people be. It's probably not the OP's decision as to what is served. They just need to be aware of allergens via e-learning and some of the questions in these courses can be so ambiguous.

I think a lot of older people will just study what they need to, to pass the Allergen Exam! If you are incapable of reading the literature then answering questions on it, then perhaps you would be better volunteering for a less challenging role at the National Trust? Allergen awareness is very important, could literally be a matter of life and death.
