Is It Normal For A Job To Go Through 13 People In The Course Of A Year?
Hello guys! Merry Christmas!
I was wondering what do you think of a company manager that bullies and fires (or promps resignations) employees regularly.
I would like to write a long list of signs and management styles they would do that signals that they are a bad manager, but most of that can be searched for in various articles.
the majority of those that were terminated were eligible for unemployment benefits, so I assume this hurts the company quite a bit per fired without cause employee.
the company has up to 6 people working in it a day at a time, so irrationally firing someone like that means there's gonna be a lot of workplace burnout, but I digress.
Anyway, do you think it's normal for a company that small to go through between 10 and 20 staff members over the course of a year?

I can't see where you get that from. As long as an employer steers clear of statutory discrimination (such as firing an employee because he/she has found out they're gay or a Muslim), he/she is free to terminate the employment of any employee for any reason whatsoever (or without any reason at all) within the first two years of their employment. The employee will have no right to compensation and their eligibility for unemployment benefit is irrelevant.
Even if such a dismissal occurs when the employee has been in service for more than two years, they'd need to go to a tribunal to show that they'd been unlawfully dismissed and to seek compensation (which, from the content of your post, would seem to be unlikely anyway).
Much of so-called 'workplace bullying' is simply employers actually expecting their staff to do some work!
