Not even your parents? Just tell them, Abbey, instead of pretending you're going to work.

 *knows why you're not *

Abbey, tell your mum and claim whatever benefits you qualify for.  Did you hear from that full time job you applied for?

Question Author

No

Are you still looking?  Do you have your name with any agencies?

Question Author

Yes

Abbey, you got yourself into a bit of a pickle the last few times your new jobs 'didn't work out'.  Your mum will probably be disappointed, of course, but there's nothing to be gained by you keeping such major stuff from her. As well as claiming benefits and job-hunting, would you consider doing a course, training for something - something you could make a go of? All these jobs, where you had high expectations, have gone wrong for one reason or another. Maybe it's time for a major rethink?

Question Author

Like what courses?

Abbey... like something you would (a) want to do and (b) something you could do and (c) something that would lead to a job (maybe even a career) that would last longer than a few months!

Question Author

I'd like to be a packer. I  happy in my current job bur not enough hours.

Abbey, are there many packer jobs going in your area?

PS Although you are happy in your current job, it's not been without its trials and tribulations - you struggled with the codes, for example, and your employers have been putting you in cleaning roles rather than on the tills.

Question Author

They didn't say that just said it a ban on overtime. I was getting the products and they got me for 1 full shift end of the month but still feel used.

Abbey, you told us your hours were cut in June as you were 'not grasping the products'. I know you managed to improve in that area...just as Selco cut back on hours. I don't think it's been the perfect match for you - or for the firm. It's good that you're exploring other options, perhaps claiming benefits and so on.

Question Author

Yes I don't plan to be on 2 hours and claiming benefits long. Selco is disabled friendly.

Question Author

Yes they cut mine for a 6 hour shift then got told they weren't allowed to give overtime because of thier budget.

Question Author

I got an interview tomorrow for a counter sales person full time in Hughes forest tomorrow

That's good news, abbey!  Good luck.

Question Author

There's pros and cons.

What pros and cons?

Question Author

Pros it full time and cons it's further away.
