Please help, I'm applying for a new job within the company where I work in HR & Recruitment dept! I seem to be rubbish at answering why I want the job......this is what I have and there is another section for skills.....

How does this sound....How could I improve it?

I studied HR and recruitment as part of my Advanced Business Studies course. I'm applying for the position, as it's a department I'm extremely interested in and I would like this opportunity to develop and enhance my skills and knowledge at <XYZ>. I feel I have the qualities and experience required for this position.

'I am applying for this position as it will enable me to develop further my skills and training gained during my Advanced Business Studies Course with a company at the forefront of the industry.
"The most valuable asset of a company is its workforce, and its long been my desire to work where I can influence and actively help those who actually make up the company. During my Advanced Business Studies course, I was particularly drawn to Human Resources and gained the skills necessary to make the most of this opportunity."
Throw it back at them - Ask THEM what they are looking for and what in your CV prompted them to interview you. BE ASSERTIVE!!

Say why you are 'extremly interested' in the department and what qualities and experience you have and apply them to the position.

Basically re-write the job description in your own words and apply your previous experience to it!
