In the last 10 years i have always worked in admin and now i have seen a job i am quite interested in, training to be a Phlebotomist. The only thing i have in common with this job is that i have worked for the last 2 years for the NHS in the mental health sector. So what i am asking is do you have any ideas how to sell myself cuz i really want to do this!! thanks in advance

I think the best way is to be totally honest and up front and say 'I have been interested in the subject (you can look up plenty before you get there) and really feel I would like to do something which is of real value and that since being connected with the health sector I would like to become more involved. I have been in Admin and do not feel it is particularly rewarding and I am keen to take a new direction in my life.' Also you could say that after ten years you feel that if you do not change now you will just spend the rest of your life in Admin and you have decided to take this step now. I think people warm to something like that.
