Some people prefer to work for themselves or own a business. Others prefer to work for an employer. Would you rather be self-employed, work for someone else, or own a business? Use specific reasons to explain your choice.

I would love to run my own business, because I would like to keep my own hours (I prefer working evenings to mornings) and because I believe in certain standards and I know if I ran a business it would adhere to those. It frustrates me when i see people doing something and think that I could do it so much better.
However, because of my character I don't think I could work for myself. I like to please people and I can be a bit of a matyr sometimes, i like people to think how wonderful I am, and am more likely to put myself out for someone else than I am for myself. So, with only myself to please I don't think it would work.... I would also end up watching Fern and Philip rather than working!
Hope that makes some sense!
I am a qualified accountant and hope to in the next cupple of years start working from home.i have a dormant limited commpany to trade from.
I wud expect a higher hourly rate than my current employment so wud hope to work for more money for less hours.
I would love to be self-employed. I hate the routine of 9-5, but am disciplined enough to still get the work done. Like Englishbird, I have quite high standards and wouldn't have to take responsibility for anyone else's shortcomings if it was only me! DMA, I am thinking of doing accounting for the very reason that it would allow me to work for myself.
And I HATE getting up at 7.15am every day...
