Hi, I'm 15 at the moment and looking to work as an actress in the future, however, I have one certain goal in my life, to be in Casualty, the TV programme, but I'm at a bit of a loose end at how to get there, we are starting a new course at school, extra-curricular, doing LAMDA work, so I'm going for that, but I don't know what else would help me, also, if anyone knows the names of any good casting agencies it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Of all the actors on TV, one person among many thousands gets there purely as a 'lucky break'. (e.g. the guy who played Uncle Albert in Only Fools and Horses was a retired bank manager who'd never done any professional acting prior to his television role). Everybody else has gone through drama school. (Many actors have university degrees). Thanks Chris,
I have actually done acting prior to this, I did some work on Where the heart is, it was only extra work but it was great and I got a lot of experience of being in front of cameras etc especially as I was in it the whole way through primary AND junior school...
I'mnot sure whether extra work would count as a credit though if I wanted to do a proper casting role
