8.5-15k pa depens on experience in banking and experience in general...
the more sales, admin and cust services the better - if you can get a temp job for 6 months doi data entry in a bank head office it will make applicatioins easier - having been there and done it though i honestly would rethink the banking route - as an experienced administrator you can earn as much as a bank manager but dont have to work weekends... if wanting to work in a bank think barclays international, chase manattan, jp morgan for good prospects and money
