Being Poached

I'm a Quantity Surveyor (well at assistant level at the mo) and moved jobs last June. I've been poached by a major house builder (currently the biggest) to see if I'm interested in moving.

Is 10 / 11 months too soon to move on? It'll be my third company in only 4 years (although my first job was 3 years).
Any advice welcome folks. Thanks

At the end of the day crgb it's down to only one person, and that's you. It's your life and your career you are talking about and you must grasp, with both hands, any oportunity that presents itself. I was looking at a copy of my own CV recently (a dusty old tome) and before starting my own company I had had 12 jobs. With the exception of my last period as an employee, none of the jobs I had lasted more than 2 years, and in one 18 month period I had three changes.

I was chasing my particular dream and in the end my only thought was for me! It sounds selfish and disloyal but bear in mind when a company is looking to cut costs, senior managers don't have any loyalty towards the employees.

Go for it. You may never get a better oportunity.

You should take it if it's a better opportuity than where you are now or you might regret not taking it. Don't worry about frequent moves. Just be ready to explain them to a future employer. This time they approached you.
