i am not too sure if this is posted in the correct topic, however, does anyone know where i can find any statistics on the postage of recorded delivery by royal mail.

I have sent 2 items recorded delivery in the last month and neither of them have been delivered. Both of them were going to the same address (my last place of employment) and the result in neither of them being delivered has resulted in 450 being deducted from my last pay cheque with the company.

I have spoken to royal mail customer service (which was the biggest waste of time) and all they said was that they can send me 12 stamps as compensation!

i am a little bit fluffed off with that answer to say the least, so i was wondering if anyone else has had a problem or if anyone knew where I could get hold of some statistics for my area (southport) to see if there were any correlations.

Thanks

If you go to royalmail.com you can input the recorded delivery number to see if it's been recieved. You should also be able to see the signature of the person who signed for it.

It has now been 15 days and working days, so it is classed as lost. I had also been checking the website on a daily basis, but to no result!! thanks anyway!

You could contact *********, their site is here to see if they can help or there is Postcomm the official watchdog, here. Good luck!

I've only just seen the asterisks! It's Post watch!
