Can anyone help me with motivation for my GCSEs. I don't think I'm afraid of starting my work but it's just I need some revision techniques that actually work. I can't do the whole writing out the answers or taping myself because I just get sick of hearing my own voice over and over. Any ideas welcome!

highlight key points,

write facts on post it notes and put around your room,

draw mind maps / brain storms on subject areas,

drink plenty of water and eat fresh fruit

when I was revising for my GCSE's I always made sure that my room was tidy before I started (I always looked to do everything else but revision!) So that way there was nothing left for me to do but stick my head in my books!

I found it really useful to write out my notes in point form first (highlighting the important bits) then later went back and read through the points to see if I could expand on any of them.

Also take lots of short breaks which helps keep your mind focussed. The average girl can concentrate for 1 hour solid (boys for 20 mins!) so try not to do too much in one go as you won't remember it all otherwise.

Good luck!!
