loads of questions in one here...


im 15 nd recently done work experience at a nursery which i loved to bits!! i got on with everyone and did better than i thought i would etc... anyway they said that i was really good and id do well in the job ( i wanna b a nursery nurse ) but they wer probably js humorin me


anyway i hav a job allready (weekends) bt i reli dont like it. i was wonderin how old i have to be to work at a day nursery in the summer (as they dont open at the weekend) and how i would go about it.... also could i do voulantary work 'cause (i enjoy it and) it would go on my CV when i am old enough for a job (or whatever)

I don't know about day nurseries, but have you thought about working on summer playschemes? It would probably have to be voluntary, but would be excellent experience for you.

In the first instance, you might like to try contacting your local social services department. They'll be able to advise you on what's available, as well as the legal aspects.

they find you placements to suit you, and you work towards gaining like 100/200 hours, the extra experience will also be a really good way to help you get onto other courses if you decide to later.
