Just wondered if anyone worked as an appropriate adult? If so, do you get enough hours to make it a full time job? Any info on experiences working in this field would be much appreciated, thankyou x

The only time I've heard of this is when it's been a voluntary arrangement.

Rainer, whom I do mentoring for, have a volunteer scheme that you might be interested in, whereby you can be called in to act as appropriate adult when young people find themselves arrested or in court or whatever. Although it's voluntary, Rainer give excellent training and sometimes offer NVQ/BTEC training as well.

Their website is http://www.raineronline.org/gen/default.aspx
My brother was an appropriate adult, but it usually just involved one evening a week, and I'm pretty sure it was voluntary.
