I was made redundant at the start of June and have had no luck in finding a job. I'm temping as a lettings agent at the moment but I really hate it and the money is so bad, as well as being quite a pay cut from what I was on. I have applied for so many jobs online and only about 1 of them has replied. Not even rejection letters. What else can I do? It's really getting me down and the bills will soon be piling up if I don't find something sharpish.

what about applying to the High Street banks, they are always looking for good people with a high level of Customer Service?
Presume you have already registered with all the local employment agencies?
Short of getting a Yellow Pages and systematically phoning all the companies listed in your preferred employment sectors, I'm not sure what else you can do.
not sure where u live - but in glasgow we have the Eastend Partnership & other gov assisted facilities- this is a place where they help you look for employment in the field you have experience - they have connections to local business's and the business's only adrvertise with them. They also are government funded which means they could help with travel expenses etc till your first pay in a new job.
I know ur working at the moment - but temping could end as quick as it begins ( sorry for the dark cloud).

I hope this is useful. :-)
