I am employed part time to work on average no less than 64 hours per 4 week basis. My employer is now looking to cut hours and i would be working on average only 50 hrs in a 4 week rota, are they allowed to do this even though my contract states "on average no less than 64hrs a week"? Help becasue im not a happy bunny, i need the money to fund me through college!!

As far as I know they can, as long as they put it in writing as an ammendment to you contract. You don't have to accept it, but if you don't you will be declining the terms of your contract, and could be out of a job. Have a word with your HR department about your concerns

Unfortunately they can do what they like. It's generally a case of Take it or Leave it.!!
