Can anyone tell me what a commi chef is expected to do? thanks

A Commis Chef is just an assistant, or trainee chef ... so you'd do pretty much what the 'Chef' would do ...

The Commis Chef:

1. Is an entry-level assistant or apprentice

2. Works under the line cooks to learn each food station from preparation to plating

3. Gains knife and prep skills by working with chefs

4. Experiences the pace and demands of a kitchen

On average a Commis Chef can earn 18k -30k.

18-30k????i never got that when i was a commis!!!!! i feel cheated now!! lol
