break entitlement
2 Answers
I everyone, I work for a large retail company who have just opened a new store in our area. We are told that if we work for 3 hours 59 mins we do not get a break, if we work for 4 hours to 5 hrs 49 mins its 15 mins, 6 hrs to 7hrs 44 mins we get 30 mins.
So when we work like I did today 9.00 till 5.30 I got 30 mins, is that right?
I any other job when you work 9.00 to 5.00 you get 2 x15 min breaks and an hour lunch.
Everyone working there got that in other jobs. If we work from 9.00 to 5.45 we get an hour, but they always make sure we never work that long.
Is this right e veryone I speak to say its not right.
Any advice would be great.
cheers

I work 9-5 and get an hour lunch, no 15 min coffee breaks. In my last job (agaion, 9-5) we got a 10 min morning break and 1/2 hour lunch, again no afternoon break.
