I have been offered a role as an extra in a drama and really want to do it; its only one days work. Trouble is i work for a different broadcast company under contract full time and dont know if they will appreciate me being in a show on a rival channel?What do i do; tell the boss(he may then say no), or just do it.....?

For any job you have, you sign a contract. Maybe read through your contract and see what your employer expects from you. Don't simply rely on what your manager tells you because what he/she says will be completely different to what the actual policy is.
