I know this sounds really dumb, but my mind has gone completely blank!

If an employee asks for you to demonstrate your organisational skills, what exactly are they talking about?

Is it filing, using rotas, that kind of stuff?

You need to ask them to be a bit more specific! Organisational skills means showing people how organised you are, but this can mean in your day to day job, or in your thought process or leadership skills etc.
I would ask them to clarify exactly what they are looking for.
Cheers, Sue
They are asking you how you organise your workload. For example, if you have something with an urgent deadline and other daily tasks which need to be completed, how do you go about it all. Try to demonstrate that you are able to organise effectively and give examples if possible. If you are strraight out of school / uni, use examples of when you had many projects to complete with deadlines along with exams. Hope this helps.
You need to demonstrate how you organise your workloads. How is your time planning? How do you prioritise your work in progress? How do you manage a change in priorities at short notice? If you think you'll not meet a deadline, what will you do about it? Do you delegate?

As Neeru says, give examples where possible!
