Does anyone know when an employer moves from being small to medium and then large, as my wife is in dispute, and different rules apply according to the size of the company, but I cannot find any definitions.

Can you gie us a bit more information because the definition may vary according to the appropriate legislation.

My wife is the subject of a disciplinary matter, and has been suspended for 7 weeks. All that I have found through ACAS is that normally, suspension should last no more than 5 days, but it mentions that different time scales may apply to companies of varying size, but it doesn't go any further than that. I am convinced that it will end up going to tribunal, and that she will win, but in the mean time, we are gathering information to take to her union rep, ( who has been off sick!).
