Both are scientific but sociology draws more from phillosopical texts and theories. Social psychology may be another discipline you may be interested in but not many universities specialise in it at undergraduate level.
Hi Harry- i studied a combination of both at uni and i'm still not 100% on the complete differences! fundamentally, anthropology deals more with the historic side of humanity and sociology will delve a little into this but is mainly interested in theories of contemporary social society and groups. As for being scientific, my friends who studied real sciences (like biology, physics etc) claim its not a real science! not much 'science' is involved either way. Just go for what sounds the most interesting to you. x
