im 16 years old and i would like to become a paramedic but have know idea where to start ive took child care and education at college cos i wanted to be a nursery nurse but now i dont can anyone out they plzzzzzzz help me ???

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.A friend who became a paramedic a couple of years ago (who I'm now out of touch with, I'm afraid), said when he started that he never realised how fit he needed to be, and as a theatrical rigger, he was already pretty fit.
So between now and getting yourself 'on-board', take my advice and get some physical training in.

You'll see, from that site, that there are basically 2 routes into the job. The first is through obtaining a university degree. The second, which might be more appropriate for you, is to start as an ambulance care assistant and train, within the service, to become an ambulance technician, before going on to train as a paramedic.
