until now, we have had an enhanced rate of pay at the weekend, not much but it was an incentive - we were taken over two years ago by another co. since the min. wage has now risen to �5.35 that is all we are getting at the weekend too, we were not told that this enhancement would no longer apply, it just appeared in the paypacket - are they allowed to take away the enhancement without consulting us first?
What does your contract say? If the enhanced rate is included in your contract then they can't change it without consulting you. It sounds as if a you need a Trade Union to defend you.
