I currently make cards as a hobby and have just started making jewellery. A lot of people have said I should sell them as they're so good. The trouble is I work full time and dont always have the time to do them. Has anyone got any ideas as to how I can start off selling them and then make it into a full time job? I dont really want to sell on EBAY as there are already a 1000 others doing the same thing.

Thanks in advance.

Hi spanner...my mother in law is creative, like yourself, she makes, wedding invitations etc, cards, she made my favours when i married, she tends to sell them at car boots - she has done well in her time....or, why don't you put a small ad in your local paper, then see how it goes, then rent a stall on your local market...worth a try!! Good luck...!!

thanks for the idea happygam. I did my own wedding favours etc and have done other peoples invites. I might try the stall at a market though I may have to travel as I dont think I have a market where I live.

Why not start in your workplace. I'm sure your colleagues will place orders if they are impressed. This way you can tell prospective buyers whether you can meet their deadline.
make up a batch of say 20 and take them round card shops and ask if they will buy a box from you - then just top them up as and when
