Does anyone know the best way to go about gaining an apprenticeship in tree surgery? I live in the north west (cheshire) and am keen to get started in the sector. Anyone have any thoughts?

How about contacting a reputable local tree surgeon and asking him to take you on as an apprentice? If hes hesitant, offer to work for him for one day for free if hell seriously consider your request. Youll get his attention and look serious!

Look for someone who has qualifications themselves.

Good luck!
Contact your local council, they have tree surgeons.
Contact your local Connexions office - they find people who wnat to be put on apprenticeship placements
