Should the period of notice between employer and employee be the same i have to give 1 month my company have to give me 1 week what if i only give 1 weeks notice

you may loose any money or holls owing to you. read your contract where this 'should' be stated. xx

No. it doesn't have to be the same. However where there is a difference it usually is that the employer has to give more notice than the employee. What you seem to have is legal but quite unusual.
