How about one which is closer to your home town? That way you spend less time on trains and spend less money coming home. Have you visited all these choices? I think if you do, you will instantly get a "feel" for which one suits you the best. On paper they will all look the same. Mosy Uni's are running open days now, so go along and have a look round. Ask the student union about what's on offer etc. Have a look at the Halls of Residence too.
Thanks for your advice Scarlett, My aim is to go quite far from home as I don't have anything to hold me back, i've only had the opportunity to visit Coventry which quickly got crossed off my list, nice place but not for me! Unfortunately i don't have the funds to visit the other places, but your right the only way you can really tell is by visiting the place! My decision is veering toward Nottingham now :)
unfortunately i went to the wrong uni because when i visited the other students bigged it up - i later found out they hadn;t really meant it... not only was the college crap but the course was not at all what i had wanted or expected and they had just assured me in all of my questions.
they had some kind of bizarre loyalty to the college and felt obliged to 'sell' the college to futire students on the colleges behalf
when i was asked by visiting students what i thought of the place, i told the truth and that i was leaving - and when they went, the rest of my class were horrified and angry that i had not said the place was lovely!!
it was only when i explained that if people had been honest with me i wouldn't now be changing my course halfway through, that they agreed that i had done the right thing.
so, take the comments with a pinch and try to get 'real' info off the students.
