Hi, I recently got a job at marks and spencers, and have to go on a two day training course. I'm not sure what will be involved and would love it if someone could advise me on what would be best to wear - footwear, jeans? etc. Also, any information on the dress code for the job itself would be very welcome, such as rules about footwear, jewellery and hair. Thanks very much!

It all depends on what job role you applied for and got, did you not receive a 'welcome pack' from M&S at all that new employees sometimes get? As it is your first day I would be inclined to go smart in a suit, afterall this is M&S ! Then after your first day you will have an insight into what other staff are wearing so the next day you attend you will be able to dress down accordingly if appropriate.

Good luck!

Ask them.
If you are working in a store, then you will be provided with uniform to wear. For your training, try something smart/casual. Shoes should be comfy, as you will be spending a lot of time on your feet.
