I have a mate, aged 55, single, happy go lucky type but he is at a crossroads. He can talk for England and has bags of confidence, has worked as a stand up comic but is now seeking something a bit more 'sensible'. He can read but has poor numeracy skills and hates filling in forms. Can anyone think of a job he could do that would not need a lot of form filling and using figures? He could get help with application forms.

I hear theres a job that will suit him down to the ground.apply ..... 10 Downing ST
Maybe some private homes for the elderly, etc would like someone to boost their occupants' moral. He could visit these people. Also many people in hospital don't always get visitors and could do with a chat and a smile but don't know how he'd be employed in doing this.
Making people smile is so important and if he can do this, I truely hope he'll make a lot of people happier around him.
Good luck in what he does!
He could approach a local college with a view to running a public speaking course, my dad did this with great success.
Sales - maybe cars? He sounds like he'd be a natural.
telesales , as he likes talking and not much paper work is involved
