Can anyone tell me exactly what:

"exempted vacancy employment equality act (age) reg 2006"

means?

This is a job vacancy advertised with 'negotiable wage'

It's illegal to specify a minimum or maximum age for job applicants except under specific circumstances. For example, where an employee will be serving alcohol, without direct supervision, they have to be 18 years old. Similarly, a transport firm might be unable to get insurance, at an economic rate, unless all of their drivers are at least 25 years old. When these employers advertise job vacancies, they're allowed to specify a minimum age but they must state that they're allowed to do so because an exemption to the age-discrimination legislation applies.

So, all that the statement you've seen means is that the employer is declaring that he/she is entitled to specify a minimum (or maximum) age for employment because of an exemption from the provisions of age-discrimination legislation.

Thank you, now that makes more sense. The only info I could find on this related to pay.

Still it's a little strange as the vacancy is photography/video editing. Unless that is images of p**n :( I see no reason for age to be an issue on this.
