When an application form says "Why do you want this job?", what should you write, because I don't think that "because I need the money" will make my application stand out, or will it...? lol
All jobs pay you money, just think why you want THAT job (and not just because it pays you more money!!). Write something about the type of job it is, career move, experience, enjoyment, interested in the role, etc.
As someone who recruits staff, if someone answered that question with because I want the money I probably wouldnt employ them. Yes, its an honest answer, but dont forget that employers want someone who will enjoy the job, be motivated, and stay for a while. Thats what you want to get across in an application that you have motivation, skills to bring, and an interest in the work.
I would write something like that: I have applied for this job because I think that this company can give me the opportunity to use my knowledge and past experience, to offer me a challenging and motivanting job, the chance to work with specialists. As I am a serious , responsible , hard-working and qick learner person I think am I suited for this job.
