Good morning subjects. This is King Grenmus the Great here to tantalise your grey cells and (hopefully) boggle your minds! My chosen theme throughout the month of October will be "Sports", although my preambles may not deal specifically with the sport at all. As a novice at being a temporary member of MM Royalty, I hope you will bear with me over the next four weeks.
Being an ardent Liverpool fan, I went to the Champions League match against Marseille on Wednesday night and the least said about that experience the better :o( . The outcome will make it all the harder for the team to get to that match in Moscow next May.
I am indebted to one organisation in general and one friend in particular for getting me to the home matches and providing cover for my wife Vi in my absence. Eleven years ago my long sight suddenly went (in the middle of a class test with Year 7) and driving and teaching became things of the past. A friend has been taking me to the matches ever since and, with Vi being wheelchair bound, I am eternally grateful to Crossroads, a charity that cares for carers. One of their staff keeps Vi company, while I'm away from home.
Tomorrow, it's back to the Premiership and the battle for the League Title.
As for the everyday running of MM, I have followed MM convention on word length. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts!
Each link word may go in front of, or behind, my chosen word! The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm, when crofter will declare my selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past.
My first set of four chosen words for linking should appear below at 9.00am - on the dot!
