i' really interested in nursing but i have no idea how long the courses are and do i need to go to college or can i work in a hospital, how much do nurses earn, how long before i can become a fully qualified nurse and what are my options on moving abroad as a nurse????
i also have very little time and no money to go to college so would it be possible to work in a hospital and get paid whilst training as a nurse, kinda like a training scheme?

If you don't have the entry qualifications you could enroll on an Access To Nursing Course at your local college.

A very rewarding career but lots of hard work.
Please do your research on the pros & cons before you sign up to enroll. If you know any nurses, they might be able to answer any questions you have regarding the training etc.

Good luck.
you have to go to university for either 3 or 4 years and get either a degree in nursing or diploma of higher education in nursing so no you cant just work at a hospital and then be a nurse

you could always be a health care assisstant - unqualified nurse. or that you just have to apply
as to option for moving abroad a s a qualified nurse, you will most likely have to have some experience after your 4 years training first. to go to north america you will have to take their exams first. To go to austrailia you dont need any more exams. Europe you dont need more exams. Third world, i dont know
and you may earn less abroad
I would say do a lot of research about the training before you decide. go to www.nhscareers.nhs.uk
A friend of mine is doing the training at the moment. She is doing the diploma, which is 3 yrs (you can do a degree also 3 yrs) She has to do lots of college work as well as working shifts in different areas, in hospitals and in the community. It is really really hard work but if its something you really want to do its worth it. They do give you an allowance to train. I have worked as a health care assistant which is the best way to see if you want to become a nurse and you will work with student nurses so can talk to them. Even if you do this the training is the same. Good luck.
