this is the end of my first week in my new job., and it sucks. It seems that what i was told in the interview of what i'd be doing is totally different from reality.

its a marketing role and i was told half my job would be content management of websites but in reality, it seems all everyone does around here and is all i've been doing ad all i will do.

what am i going to do?

If it's still the same after 1 month then speak to your boss.

my only worry is i'm going to miss out on other opportunities, as i do have the opportunity to go to some other interviews in the next week or so - what do i do?
Go to the other interviews by all means but don't tell them you've just started this new job, let them think you're coming from your previous one as it won't inspire confidence in these prospective new employers if they know you want to "jump ship" after one week.

i cant say i'm still in the last one because i went travelling for 3months after i left that one. what should i say about this new job?
Be honest with them and tell them that the job you applied for is not the job you are doing. I'm sure they would rather you were honest than making up a story.
If that's the case then I would approach your boss today and state your case. When you go to other interviews then you can state with confidence as squarebear says that it's not what you were promised...AND you have discussed it with management. This will then show that you have done all you can to rectify the problem.
