for my current employer, and if i changed my job, to a different one i need another one?
I am sure am right in saying yes, would it not make sense to make a sorta national data base, so that one eDisclosure check would cover you if you changed your job often?

As I understand it, you would need a new one. When we have people volunteer to help us, we require an updated check. I suppose, there's a bit of logic behind it as one could never say for certain what has transpired between the last CRB check and the present.

I wish you well

Thanks Fr Bill and gummbear.
was talking to a friend about it and it and i knew i was right.
I think your right it does make sense but it can take ages for it to process.
The system stinks!
I already have an enhanced CRB for work. I am currently training part time for a different career and I need a 2nd CRB check for that. I have been asked if I would help out with my youngest son's Cub Scout group and with the swimming club my daughter belongs to. Surprise, surprise, I would need to pay for a further two enhanced CRB checks.
It is a licence to print money!
